India’s first banking robot -Lakshmi has been launched by Kumbakonam 

(TN) based City Union Bank. It can respond to queries on more than 125 issues. Apart from answering generic questions, it has also been Programmed to connect to the core banking solution. The robot can cunently speak in English, gesture, turn around and engage in a very life-like manner in conversations.
